Calendar:	I am so proud of all that the girls have done this year and it is wonderful that some of our girls were able to have their items in the State Fair. Congratulations to Emilee S., Ariah L., Bailey C., Courtney S., Sara U., and Courtney A. for your State Fair entries and ribbons. I am excited to tell you that the poster focusing on our Club received a blue ribbon, as well! Everyone is welcome to come planning meeting, on October 12th at 3:30 PM we will meeting at the Monsen's Home. It will be important for those girls who are 9-12 years, for we are working on our portfolios. I would love for all the girls of this age group to turn in their portfolios to the extension office. The Due Date is October 20th. The Biggest advantage if you DO (turn in a Portfolio) you earn 4H Dollar$. These can pay for workshops and your registration fee for the next year. Consider it FREE Money for showing off all that you have done this year in 4H, and writing it down. Ladybug Club Meeting: October 20th at 3:30 PM. At the Monsen's Home. We will be meeting for our first quarterly activity. At this meeting we will be learning about caring for young children in preparation for babysitting, decorating bags for your babysitting kits, and we will be learning new fashion terms so we can identify fashion trends- making you “A Jr Fashion Designer”- in Training. ~ I attended a meeting this week were I was able to hear what they have planned for the activities at the extension office. In January they are planning a 6 week (1 day a week) class for teaching entrepreneurial skills for the cupcake club (so they could sell their cupcakes for Valentines Day) and a sewing activity that is decorating a t-shirt. In February they are planning a 2 day workshop for “decorating on a dime”. (they could design their perfect bedroom). I have listed the other activities that they are planning, but ??? indicates they needed to schedule the building so they didn't have a set date. They are looking at Thursday evenings or Saturdays.
